In the first of a two-part Season 4 finale, Chick house-sits when the gang go on vacation, but not before Jules takes her dad to see a doctor when she realizes he hasn’t been to one in years. Meanwhile, Laurie and Travis go on their first official date; and Bobby learns a bitter truth about man’s best friend.

Bobby finds a new tomboy friend; Grayson sparks a religious debate; the Cul-De-Sac Crew form a dodgeball league.

Jules’ dad, Chick, recovers from an injury at her house, but she stubbornly refuses to tell him about her own health issues during his stay. Meanwhile, Grayson and Bobby teach Travis how to be a ladies’ man.

With Grayson’s house on the market, the cul-de-sac crew waste little time judging their potential neighbors, which conjures up memories of the time when Jules and Bobby moved in. Meanwhile, Wade returns from Afghanistan earlier than expected, stirring mixed emotions in Laurie when he becomes too clingy.
